No. The $149 DNA kit is a complete standalone purchase, you get the kit, the lab analysis, your full insights report, and lifetime access to your data. The $159/mo supplement subscription is entirely optional and can be started later after you see your results.

Your $149 covers the kit, a prepaid return mailer on US kits (Canadian kits: see "Do you ship to Canada?" below), lab genotyping of 650,000+ genetic data points, analysis against our panel of 73 curated markers, 48 of which shape your formula, and your full personalized insights report. No subscription required. How many of these markers can be read from any one sample depends on the sample and on the lab's genotyping array: the array our lab uses from November 2026 does not carry two of the 48 formula markers, and your dashboard shows how many were read from yours. Worth being clear about what this is not: it isn't ancestry, and it isn't a disease test. We read the markers that change what your body does with specific nutrients, and nothing here screens for, diagnoses, or reports on illness.

After your DNA results come back, you can opt into the supplement subscription anytime. It's $159/month, billed monthly from the day you subscribe, in 3-month terms that renew until you cancel. Each term is one 90-day supply and is measured from when your formula is made, so your first term usually spans four monthly payments rather than three. Your first month is charged when you subscribe, and then on the same date every month after that. Your formula is made to order once your results are in, and a fresh 90-day supply is made every 3 months. If anything in your health survey needs a closer look before we make it, we hold the formula and email you rather than ship it.

You're charged at checkout, the same as any subscription, and then monthly. Production starts as soon as your results and your health survey are both in, and a made-to-order supply takes about 5 to 10 business days before it ships with tracking. If your results aren't back yet when you subscribe, nothing is made until they are, and we email you at each step so you always know where your order stands.

Your kit arrives in 3 to 5 business days in the US, a little longer to Canada. Lab analysis usually takes 2 to 4 weeks after the lab receives your sample, and sometimes longer. So far, most members have had their results 5 to 10 weeks after ordering the kit, and some have waited longer. The biggest variable is how soon the swab goes back in the mail, and returns from Canada take longer because they cross the border. We email you at each step.

Two reasons, one biological, one practical. Biologically, supplementation works on the timescale of cellular turnover: red blood cells renew about every 120 days, and markers like homocysteine and vitamin D take 8-12 weeks of consistent intake to meaningfully shift. A few weeks isn't a fair test of your formula, and three months gives those levels time to move. Practically, each formula is custom-blended to your DNA (not pulled from inventory), which carries a per-batch setup cost; a 3-month commitment lets us hold the price at $159 rather than pricing in single-bottle economics. Memberships renew in 3-month terms until you cancel, and the next answer says exactly how cancelling works.

Yes. You can cancel any time, in one click from your portal. It takes effect at the end of the 3-month term you're in, and the remaining monthly payments of that term are still charged. Cancel at least 14 days before your next 90-day supply is due to be made and it is never made or billed; inside those 14 days it is already committed to production, so it is made, shipped and billed across one more term, and your membership ends after that term. Before you confirm, your portal shows exactly what cancelling today would mean for you. Every formula is made to order, so once a supply has been made or shipped it cannot be returned or refunded. If it arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it. The $149 DNA kit may be refunded if you cancel before the lab has received and begun processing your sample; once the lab has begun processing it, the kit fee is non-refundable, because the testing has been done.

Yes, we're proudly Canadian-founded and ship to Canada. Prices are in US dollars, so what you pay in Canadian dollars depends on the exchange rate. A couple of honest cross-border notes so nothing surprises you: international DNA kits don't include a prepaid return mailer (customs rules), so you'll cover return postage (about CA$25 with Canada Post Tracked Packet; courier services cost more) and complete a short customs form when you mail your sample back. If you later start the supplement, any import duties are set by the CBSA and collected on delivery (usually modest).

Your genetic data is processed by a CLIA-certified, HIPAA-compliant laboratory. We never sell it, and we never share it with insurers, employers, data brokers or advertisers. You can ask us to delete your genetic data at any time, and our Privacy Policy explains what we delete and what we keep.
